Request for Speaker Proposals Overview

OAND is requesting proposals for educational sessions for their 2020 annual conference.

Areas of Interest Include but are not Limited to:
  • Clinical Nutrition (e.g., wound healing, bariatric surgery, malnutrition, critical care, FODMAPS, food intolerances and food allergies, diabetes, order writing)
  • Community Nutrition (e.g., food insecurity and hunger, community gardens)
  • Culinary (e.g., recipe development, food trends, food science)
  • Counseling (e.g., motivational interviewing, intuitive eating, eating disorders)
  • Entrepreneurship (e.g., telehealth, non-traditional dietetic careers, communications including authors and bloggers, corporate wellness)
  • Professional Development (e.g., interprofessional collaboration, diversity, ethics, specialty credentials such as renal or oncology nutrition)


Presentation Style and Format

Be innovative! In addition to lecture, consider proposing sessions that include:

Debate (e.g., BMI, intermittent fasting, permissive underfeeding)
Hands-on activity/workshop (e.g., nutrition-focused physical assessment, food demo)
Panel discussion (e.g., bariatric surgery across the lifespan, unique practice areas, interdisciplinary groups or specializations)

Prior to submitting a proposal, please review the OAND Request For Proposal (RFP). Submissions that do not follow the RFP instructions may be excluded from consideration.
