Dementia Carers: We hear you

Welcome to our Dementia Carers Count survey for carers. If you offer or have offered help and support to a friend or family member with dementia, we'd love to hear from you.

What you tell us will help us better understand the pressures on family carers, shape the services we provide and prioritise what we ask the government to address.

In last year's survey, over three quarters of you told us that you didn’t have any plans if you were unable to care. You told us about the huge stress this was causing. We collated your testimonials into a short report which we handed in to the health leads across the UK. Our recommendations have been acknowledged and we continue to meet with decision makers and lobby to improve the support that dementia carers receive.

This year we would like to find out more about the times you have struggled to care; and the times when you feel you have reached crisis points. We plan to share your experience with policy and decision makers and help them understand the urgent need to provide dementia carers with better support to help prevent these situations.

We know you have very little time, so we are grateful for you telling us about your experiences. The survey should take about 15 minutes to complete, and you can tell us as much or as little as you like.

Would you like help to complete our survey?
