1. Study Name & Purpose:
This study is called the Development of the Resetar Orthorexia Scale.
The purpose of the study is: The goal of this study is to create a questionnaire that looks at a new condition called Orthorexia Nervosa (ON). ON involves very strict eating and lifestyle habits that can affect daily life and overall well-being. This study has been approved by the Beyond Bound Institutional Review Board (IRB #BB2502AS-074).
2. Who Can Participate:
You can participate if you are 18 years or older.
3. What You Will Do:
If you agree to participate, you will be asked to complete a few brief questionnaires about eating and lifestyle habits and demographic information. The study will take about 15-20 minutes to complete. Some questions may ask about emotions or behaviors related to eating and lifestyle habits.
4. Your Choice to Participate:
Participation in this study is completely voluntary. You can stop or skip any question at any time without needing to give an explanation.
5. Risks:
There is very little risk in this study. The content of the study asks questions related to eating and lifestyle behaviors. Some questions may feel uncomfortable or bring up strong emotions. If any question is distressing, you can skip the question. The only required question is to confirm you are at least 18 years old.
6. Benefits:
While there is no compensation, your participation will help researchers learn more about this condition. Participants may also learn about a new concept, in addition to feeling good for supporting research.
7. Compensation:
There is no financial compensation for participation in this study.
8. Confidentiality:
All responses are completely anonymous and confidential. You will not be asked for your name or email address. As such, there is no way to track data to respondents. This research does not track site visitors. All data collected is anonymous.
