To Whom It May Concern,
We, the undersigned, stand in firm solidarity with the South Asian families devastated by a wave of targeted home invasions across Eastern Massachusetts.
These were not random crimes — they were calculated, deliberate attacks that preyed upon a specific community. The perpetrators exploited our cultural traditions, our connection to heirloom jewelry, and the generational legacy preserved in our homes. What they stole was not just gold or valuables — they violated the sanctity of our most sacred spaces: our homes.
For South Asians, a home is far more than a structure. It is where culture is passed down, where faith is practiced, and where identity is rooted. These invasions fractured our sense of safety and trust, sending shockwaves through not only the 43 families directly impacted, but across the broader South Asian diaspora.
This letter is not simply a gesture. It is a unified call for justice, accountability, and protection.
Despite the fear and pain, our community has responded with strength. We have rallied together — organizing safety efforts, offering legal and emotional support, educating neighbors, and speaking out. We commend the efforts of law enforcement and prosecutors who have worked diligently to bring these suspects to trial.
But now, as the trial begins, we ask for more.
We call on the Middlesex District Attorney’s Office and all relevant law enforcement to pursue full justice in this case. These crimes must be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law — not just for the financial damage done, but for the violation of dignity, identity, and belonging that our families have suffered.
Let the sentence reflect the scale and severity of the harm inflicted — and send a message that targeting vulnerable communities will never be tolerated.
This letter is a collective voice — hundreds strong and growing. It represents a powerful truth: we will not be silent. We will not allow our pain to be overlooked. We will continue to show up, speak out, and stand together until justice is served.
We also call for long-term accountability: culturally competent law enforcement, meaningful protections, and vigilance against the continued targeting of South Asian and immigrant communities.
Together, we are louder.
Together, we are stronger.
Together, we demand justice.
Sincerely,
