The ACT National Science Week Committee is once again offering grants of up to $3000 (and up to $6000 for events targeting underrepresented audiences) for event in National Science Week 2026.

Applications close 5.00pm AEST on Sunday 17 May.

Eligibility

Your event needs to be open to the general public and aimed at ACT residents during National Science Week (15-23 August). If your event is the week before or after these dates, you can still apply and your event may be considered.

Please note: schools are NOT eligible for ACT grants unless the event is open and advertised to the wider public.

Events targeting underrepresented audiences should:
- specifically advertise and cater to the underrepresented group

- consider appropriate accommodations and required support for your targeted underrepresented audience
- have a letter of support from a group related to the audience in question.

The ACT Committee can provide some audio-visual equipment and merchandise to support your event.
