Corn Contest Information

Longest Ear
Bring in your longest ear of field corn. Longest ear will be based on length from kernels at the bottom of the ear to the top. Empty, exposed, or unfertilized cobs will be excluded from the length.

Largest Ear
Each ear of corn will be weighed. Corn ears will be excluded if moisture content is determined to be above 20%. Ears will be broken to ensure no foreign objects are added to the cob to increase weight.

Entry ears of corn for the contests are now being accepted for dropoff at the Taylor office. Bring your ear of corn for entry into the contest from now until the day of the lunch.
