STEM Awards Nominations

About the STEM Outreach Awards
The Society for Information Management (SIM), the only nationwide professional network for senior-level IT leaders, annually donates over $1.6 million per year while working with over 50 Universities and Colleges and 50 distinct non-Profits to reach over 15,000 students.

SIM’s 44 chapters throughout the US and Canada allows senior IT executives to share, network and give back to their communities. SIM’s Chapters support schools, initiatives and non-profits which encourage and enable students (K-12, undergraduate, graduate and continuing education) to join and contribute to the IT profession.

The STEM Outreach awards provides a means for SIM to recognize contributions of volunteerism and thought leadership in support of STEM.

The Award winners will be recognized during the 2019 SIM Connect Live conference in Orlando, Florida.  The award winners will receive one complementary conference registration.  Award winners will also be asked to participate in an Awards Panel during the program.

The four award categories are:
STEM Pioneer: recognizes a Chapter member whose contributions have significantly advanced local STEM initiatives over multiple years, these can include both the local chapter initiatives and those in the broader community.

Most Inspiring Leader:

Chapter Award – STEM Innovation: recognizes a SIM Chapter who has sponsored a significant community outreach initiative highlighting technology innovation, STEM career opportunities, and other types of outreach.
