The Eastern Upper Peninsula has been working on a multi-county Materials Management Plan that seeks to reduce the amount of solid waste entering the landfill by expanding collection of recycled material, organic waste (food and yard waste), and electronic waste. The Plan will explore opportunities to expand the types of materials collected and the locations where material is collected. We are seeking your input about the ways we could improve solid waste and recycling collection in Chippewa, Luce, and Mackinac Counties and together as a region. Please review the draft goals the planning team has developed.
