Description: The Brian Bright Annual Senior Student Scholarship is awarded to a nursing student who is currently enrolled in a state-approved associate degree nursing program that holds OADN program membership; and, who is entering or currently in the second year of their nursing program and are anticipated to graduate in May of the current or upcoming year at the time of application submission.
Five scholarships, in the amount of $2000 each, will be awarded.

The recipients will be recognized at the 2026 OADN Convention, Empowering the ADN Educator: Flourishing with Strength and Sustainability, at the San Antonio Marriott Rivercenter, in San Antonio, TX, November 12 - 14, 2026.
Requirements: The applicant must meet the following criteria:
- Currently enrolled in a state-approved associate degree nursing program that holds OADN program membership.
- Entering or currently in the second year of their nursing program and are anticipated to graduate in May of the current or upcoming year at the time of application submission.
Preference will be given to the top two applicants from the Convention host city and its greater metro area.
Instructions: To apply for the OADN Foundation Brian Bright Annual Senior Student Scholarship, individuals should submit the following materials on or before the application deadline of April 30, 2026:
- Letter of Interest: ·A personal 750 word narrative describing your decision to pursue nursing as a career and your plans as you enter the profession.
- Unofficial Transcript: This may be uploaded from the student portal.
- Recommendation Letter: A letter of support from the Dean/Director /faculty member verifying that the student is in satisfactory academic standing and is anticipated to graduate. Not to exceed 500 words.
- Applicant Headshot: A current headshot photo (see file upload instructions) for marketing and/or ceremonial use only. OADN Foundation blinds the candidate headshot information to eliminate possible unconscious bias in the review process. In drafting your candidate statements, please note that your headshot will not be shared with reviewers. Only your application packet narrative and supporting documents will be accessible to reviewers.

Incomplete applications will not be considered. Please complete all components of the application and submit it by the deadline of April 30, 2026, 8PM Eastern.
