Introduction
The release of Module One is a key step in
Warrenton's Zoning Ordinance Update
, an initiative to update the Town's existing Zoning Ordinance. This module includes new zoning districts (Article 2) and use regulations (Article 3), including new character overlay districts that support the mixed-use character district vision established in
Plan Warrenton 2040
. Module One also includes an updated set of general provisions (Article 1) and rules of measurement, construction, and interpretation and definitions (Article 8). As recommended in the
Code Assessment
, the new Zoning Ordinance is easier to use and provides new housing opportunities in certain parts of the Town.
