SBLGBTIQA+ PWD Canberra Peer Group - Co-Design Survey

About this survey
Women with Disabilities ACT (WWDACT) is planning an SBLGBTIQA+ people with disability (PWD) peer group in Canberra.

We want this peer group to be designed by and for SBLGBTIQA+ people with disability. This survey will help us understand:

• The kind of group you want
• How the group should run
• What access, support and sensory needs people have
• How often and where activities should happen

We will use what we learn to one or more co‑design meetings, where we will workshop the details of the peer group together. We may also use de‑identified information to support future advocacy, funding applications, and resources about the needs of adult SBLGBTIQA+ people with disability in the ACT.

We have received funding from the Office of LGBTIQA+ Affairs - ACT Government to host this group.

Who is this survey for?
You can complete this survey if you:

• Are 18 years or older
• Are SBLGBTIQA+: Sistergirl, Brotherboy, lesbian, gay, bi+, transgender, intersex, queer, questioning, asexual, aromantic, agender, and other sexualities, gender identities and forms of bodily diversity (including those not listed here)
• Are a person with disability (PWD): a person with long‑term physical, mental, intellectual or sensory differences that, when combined with inaccessible communities and environments, prevent full and equal participation. This includes people who are neurodivergent & those with chronic illness.
  • Anyone with lived experience of disability, neurodivergence, or chronic illness is welcome.
• Live in the ACT or surrounding regions

How long is this survey?

• This survey should take about 10–15 minutes to complete. It may take longer if you choose to write more in the open‑text questions.
• You may not see every question – some questions depend on how you answer earlier ones.
• Only Question 1 is required. You can skip any other question. Some questions will include an option such as “Skip/Unsure/Prefer not to say”, but you can also leave questions blank and continue.
• Please make sure you click “Submit” once you are finished.

Privacy & confidentiality

• This survey is anonymous.
• We will collect and combine information from all responses to help plan the peer group and inform our advocacy.
• We will not share any information that can identify you.
• Question 22 asks if you would like to be contacted about this or other WWDACT projects.
• If you select Yes or Unsure, you will be taken to a separate, short form to provide contact details.
• This form is not linked to your survey responses, so your answers in this survey remain anonymous.
