MSAE 2026: Crafting What's Next!

Thank you for your interest in sharing your expertise with Michigan's association community! MSAE's 2026 Annual Conference is scheduled for December 2 - December 4, 2026, at the Amway Grand Plaza Hotel. This will be a high-energy, in-person event!

SESSION LENGTH & FOCUS
We are currently in search of presentations for 55-minute sessions that support the work of professionals working for associations and membership-based organizations.

CONTENT AREA
Session content should speak to one or more of the following content areas:

• Learning, Continuing Education & Credentialing
  Approaches to designing, delivering, and managing education, professional development, and credentialing programs.
• Meetings & Events
  Ideas, tools, and practices for planning, delivering, and improving meetings, conferences, and events.
• Marketing & Communications
  Tactics and strategies for strengthening messaging, visibility, storytelling, and audience connection.
• Revenue Growth & Sponsorships
  Approaches to growing revenue through sponsorships, partnerships, and other business development opportunities.
• Membership & Engagement
  Strategies for attracting, serving, retaining, and engaging members across the membership lifecycle.
• Volunteer & Board Engagement
  Practices for recruiting, supporting, and engaging volunteers and board members in meaningful ways.

CONTENT DEPTH
Indicate the content depth that best matches your session based on the audience’s expected familiarity with the topic and the complexity of the material.

Foundations — for those newer to the topic or needing core concepts
Applied — for those with some familiarity who want practical tools and real-world use
Strategic — for experienced professionals focused on higher-level decisions, innovation, and long-range impact

SELECTION
We are accepting proposals for sessions that:

• Address an issue or speak to a topic that is specific to at least one of the categories above, AND
• Deliver an engaging learner experience (e.g., utilize engaging visuals, elicit participant insights, etc.), AND
• Are educational, generative, or inspirational in nature

Please note that sales of products or services will not be tolerated.

Sessions will be prioritized that:

• • Address the realities within which associations are currently operating
  • Incorporate the voice(s) of association practitioner(s)
  • Incorporate this year's conference theme
  • Are submitted by members of MSAE

PRESENTER REGISTRATION
We appreciate your contribution to the association sector. Presenters will receive a complimentary single-day registration for the day of their presentation and may add on the second day's registration for a reduced fee. Sessions may not exceed three presenters.

DEADLINE
Proposals must be submitted by 5:00 PM ET on Monday, April 20, 2026. To help you prepare your proposal, a copy of the submission form is available here.
