INTRODUCTION
Food Well Alliance and the Atlanta Regional Commission are working with the cities of Chattahoochee Hills and Palmetto to develop a Local Food System Plan.
This is an opportunity to tell us about your experience with accessing and growing local food as a Chattahoochee Hills and/or Palmetto community member. We will use feedback from this survey to make recommendations for new city policies and community programs to increase access to local food and support the farmers, gardeners, local businesses, and residents of both Chattahoochee Hills and Palmetto.
This survey will take about 10 minutes and your response will remain anonymous. As a token of our appreciation, the first 200 participants in this survey will be eligible for a compensation of $10 (gift card or cash).
What is a Local Food System Plan?
A Local Food System Plan is a set of policy and program recommendations for a city to strengthen the local food system over the next 3-5 years.
The local food system is the network of people growing, processing, cooking, selling, and eating food in your region. Strengthening the local food system deepens relationships between growers and residents and increases opportunities to eat healthy, fresh food.
The plan can help communities expand food access, support growers, advocate for sustainable practices and supportive city policy, and build deeper community connections.
This program is funded by a $100,000 grant package from Food Well Alliance with support from the City of Chattahoochee Hills & the City of Palmetto.
