The City is planning a reconstruction project on Milwaukee St (Starkweather Creek to W Corporate Dr). The project includes the replacement of sanitary sewer main and laterals, water main, spot replacement of storm sewer, gravel base, asphalt pavement, driveway aprons, curb and gutter, street lighting, pavement markings, new shared use path on the north side of Milwaukee St, and replacement of traffic signals within the project limits. A raised median is also proposed to be added on a portion of Milwaukee St. to separate the travel lanes and provide pedestrian refuges. The median is to be landscaped with grass. The sidewalk will be spot replaced as needed. More information about the specific impacts to each street will be shared at the public information meeting.
