2027 ASTCT Board of Directors Call for Nominations

ASTCT is accepting nominations for five open positions on the Board of Directors.

The ASTCT Board drives the Society’s vision — setting strategic priorities, strengthening the hematopoietic cell transplantation, gene, and cellular therapy community, and advancing our mission throughout the year.

We’re seeking passionate leaders who are ready to guide ASTCT into the future. Serving on the Board is a unique opportunity to shape the direction of our field, represent your peers and influence initiatives that will make a lasting impact.
  • Vice President (4 Year Term with Progression*)
  • Treasurer-Elect (4 Year Term with Progression**)
  • Director – Laboratory Science (3 Year Term)
  • Director – Community or Clinical Practice (3 Year Term)
  • Director – At Large (3 Year Term)
*Four year commitment with progression from Vice President to President-Elect, President and Immediate Past President.

New for This Year: Treasurer-Elect Leadership Pathway
The Treasurer-Elect will serve a one-year term as Vice Chair of the Finance Committee, working alongside the Treasurer to gain a comprehensive understanding of ASTCT's financial management, budgeting, and fiduciary responsibilities. Upon completion of this term, the Treasurer-Elect will automatically ascend to the role of Treasurer, serving a three-year term on the Executive Committee.

Qualifications:
The following eligibility requirements apply to all open positions:
  • Must be an active, paid ASTCT member.
  • Must be a physician (MD, MD/PhD) currently participating in academic medicine.
  • Cannot have a conflict of interest with pharmaceuticals companies that would hinder their ability to remain unbiased or participate in voting materials.
Time Commitment:
  • Attend monthly Board of Directors or Executive Committee teleconferences.
  • Attend monthly Finance Committee meetings, dependent upon position.
  • Review, approve and provide comments on relevant meeting materials or Society matters.
  • Attend two in-person Board of Directors meetings annually, which take place in the Fall and at the Tandem Meetings.
  • Participate in occasional special meetings or strategic planning activities, as needed.
