2026-2031 Multi-Year Accessibility Plan

The Township of Alnwick/Haldimand is updating its Multi-Year Accessibility Plan to meet requirements under the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA). This plan will guide how we identify, remove, and prevent barriers for people with disabilities. This community input will help prioritize initiatives during the development of the 2026-2031 Multi-Year Accessibility Plan.
1.Do you or someone you know experience barriers related to a disability when accessing Township services, program, or facilities?
2.In your opinion, how accessible are the Township's public buildings (e.g., municipal office, community centres)?
3.Have you encountered any physical, communication, or technological barriers in Township spaces (e.g., signage, websites, facilities)?
4.How would you rate the Township's current efforts to include people with disabilities in civic life (e.g. meetings, public consultations, community events)?
5.What areas do you think should be the Township's top priorities for improving accessibility over the next five years? (Check all that apply)
6.How do you typically receive information from the Township? (Check all that apply)
7.Would you prefer information from the Township to be available in alternate formats (e.g., large print, audio, accessible PDF, plain language)?
8.Have you noticed improvements in accessibility in the Township over the past few years?
9.Would you like to be involved in future accessibility planning or consultations (e.g., public meetings, focus groups)?
10.Do you have any additional comments or suggestions to help the Township improve accessibility for all residents and visitors?
