Community Blueprint for Safe, High-Quality Licensed Residences

Community Blueprint for Safe, High-Quality Licensed Residences:
Workgroup Interest Form

Over the past year, the New Jersey Council on Developmental Disabilities, the Regional Family Support Planning Councils, and the Office of the Ombudsman for Individual with Intellectual or Developmental Disabilities and Their Families have worked together to improve licensed residences for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. We collected feedback from the community through listening sessions and a public survey. This feedback helped to create the Community Blueprint for Safe, High-Quality Licensed Residences.

The next step in the Community Blueprint is to create seven workgroups based on the areas that mattered most to the community. The workgroups are organized into four phases, and the first two phase have already begun.

The Phase Three workgroup will focus on provider accountability, licensing, and compliance.

All participants are asked to be respectful, open, and willing to work together. Every voice matters. Together, we can help create safer and better homes for people with disabilities across New Jersey.
