Rooted in Resilience
San Antonio, Texas | October 5–8, 2026

About the Conference

The Region VI Community Action Association Annual Conference is where our network gathers to learn from one another, reconnect with our shared purpose, and strengthen the work happening across Arkansas, Louisiana, New Mexico, Oklahoma, and Texas.
Rooted in Resilience reflects more than a theme—it speaks to the everyday commitment of our agencies, staff, partners, and communities who continue to show up with care, creativity, and determination. This conference uplifts the wisdom already present in our region and creates space for honest conversation, practical learning, and community-centered solutions.

Region VI’s role has always been to bring people together—to build connections, support our workforce, and ensure our agencies have what they need to serve families with dignity. We invite workshop proposals that honor the realities facing Community Action today and that help us grow stronger, more responsive, and more aligned in the work ahead.

What We’re Looking For
We are seeking presenters who understand the heart of Community Action—those who bring lived experience, grounded strategies, and approaches that meet people where they are. Workshops should be:

• Practical, offering tools participants can bring home to their agencies
• Interactive, creating space for dialogue, reflection, and shared learning
• Community-centered, grounded in the strengths, challenges, and evolving needs of the families we serve
• Supportive of our workforce, helping leaders, staff, and board members build capacity, confidence, and connection

Region VI welcomes facilitators who can help strengthen our collective impact—whether through leadership, operations, community resilience, advocacy, or innovative service delivery.
