The 2026 Kentucky Food Truck State Championship is open to all Food Truck and Food Trailer Vendors that are licensed to sell and serve in the state of Kentucky (including out of state vendors). All food truck vendors must sell out of a Truck or Trailer only. No tent vendors allowed for food sales.

Completed Application with Documents must be submitted online no later than August 1, 2026 at 6:00 PM. Applications are NOT considered completed until we receive all items and payment received.

Applications are reviewed and approved by the Kentucky Food Truck Championship Committee. You will receive an email with the decision if you are approved or not approved. If approved, you will be emailed an approval notice and link to pay non-refundable entry fee via debit/credit card only. You must pay for us to reserve your spot. The sooner we receive payment, we can guarantee a spot for you. Non-Refundable Entry Fee must be paid no later than August 1, 2026 at 6:00 PM.

Non - Electric Spot (you must provide your own invertor generator) is $150

NOTE: Vendor Spots are assigned in order of receipt and approval. The first 30 approved applications are guaranteed electrical spots. If you are not one of the first 30, you must provide your own quiet generator.
2026 KENTUCKY FOOD TRUCK CHAMPIONSHIP RULES
  • Previous Grand Championship Winners and Previous Category Winners ARE eligible to enter and win again in 2026.
  • Applicants can win in multiple categories based on judges' decision.
  • Judges' decision is final.
  • Food Truck Vendors ARE ALLOWED to serve non-alcoholic drinks only. They can serve coffee, pop, water, lemonade, tea, milkshakes, fruit juice, etc. NO alcohol is allowed to be mixed or standalone drink by any food truck vendor!
  • Food Trucks and Trailers must be certified in the state of Kentucky to sell.
  • You must follow the temporary food service set-up guidelines from the Kentucky Cabinet for Health and Family Services. More info can be found here.
  • You will have to furnish your own invertor generator for electricity and water. We will not have any electric spots available.
  • All Food Truck Vendors must collect 3% Restaurant Tax on every cash and credit card purchases. Restaurant Tax Form and Payment must be given to the Information Booth the end of the day.
  • All Food Truck Vendors must accept Official Food Truck Vouchers. Vouchers must be completed with amount actually spent and signed. Turn in all vouchers at Information Booth at the end of the day. You will be reimbursed within 1 week of event.
  • Unsportsmanlike conduct, being rude, using foul language, or distasteful comments on social media and in person will disqualify you from the competition and future events hosted by Mt. Vernon - Rockcastle County Tourist Commission.
