Thank you for taking the time to participate in the New Jersey Center for Nonprofits’ 2026 New Jersey Nonprofit Trends & Outlook Survey. This survey is a critical part of informing and advocating to policy makers, philanthropy, the media and others about the issues facing nonprofits in service to our communities.
CASH PRIZE DRAWING: As our way of thanking you for your time, if you COMPLETE the survey INCLUDING your name, organization and contact information by the deadline, you will be entered into a drawing to win one of two (2) cash prizes of $500 for the responding organization (please read the important information below).**
A few things to know before you dive in:
- The survey is open to any 501(c)(3) organization located in New Jersey. (Only one survey per organization, please.)
- Depending on how you answer certain questions, the survey will take roughly 20 minutes to complete. All individual responses will be kept confidential.
- If you'd like to see all of the questions in advance, you can find the survey PDF here. However, for your responses to be included, you need to complete the survey online.
- Some questions marked with an asterisk (*) require an answer before you can move on. This helps to ensure that you're not spending time on topics that don't apply to you.
- Much of the survey will ask about your impressions and opinion based on your experiences. In a few places we ask for basic financial and funding information, much of which you may already know. If you don't have precise data readily available, a reasonable estimate is fine.
- You can complete part of the survey and come back to it later, if you continue the survey from the same computer and that computer is set up to accept cookies.
The deadline for survey completion has been extended to 11:59 p.m. on Friday, February 13, 2026.
Please share the online survey web link https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/2026_NJ_NP_Outlook with your colleagues in other 501(c)(3) nonprofits throughout New Jersey and encourage them to complete the survey.

NO PURCHASE OR CENTER MEMBERSHIP IS REQUIRED. To be eligible for the drawing, you must:
1. Represent, and be responding to the survey on behalf of, a 501(c)(3) organization located in New Jersey;
2. Answer at least all required questions (those marked with an asterisk (*) );
3. Provide all requested contact information in the survey; and
4. Click "DONE" at the end of the survey in order to formally submit your responses.

Each complete survey submission that meets the above requirements will be assigned a number. Within one week after we close data collection, we will draw two numbers at random from the completed responses to select the two $500 organization cash prize winners. Only one survey per organization will be entered, and organizations staffed by New Jersey Center for Nonprofits board members are not eligible for the drawing. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible surveys received.
