The FPA Foodservice Retail Operator Award is awarded to the foodservice retailer considered by FPA members to have been outstanding in their usage of packaging and relationships with their packaging suppliers over the last 12 months including:
ENVIRONMENT: initiating schemes and developing policies that contribute towards creating a circular economy for packaging. This includes the collection such as takeback schemes and the placing of bins in or outside the store, sorting used packaging, encourage the public's participation in recycling and working with waste management operators to enable packaging to be recycled.
GOVERNMENT AFFAIRS: lobbying government and working with others to influencing legislation and policy concerning packaging.
COLLABORATION: working with FPA Member distributors and manufacturers to help produce innovative packaging and solutions.
INNOVATION: Developing new food and drink offerings requiring packaging to serve them.
RECOGNITION OF THE ROLE OF FOODSERVICE PACKAGING as a key part of their operations.
