2026 National Oncology Specialty Conference
Purpose: To support a registered nurse interested in improving cancer care by developing their personal knowledge as a result of attending a national oncology-focused conference and sharing this new knowledge with others.
Scholarship: One - $2,000.00 scholarship to attend a National Oncology Specialty Conference of the applicant's choice-i.e., Breast, Radiation Oncology, BMT, Hematology, etc.
Scholarship: One - $2,000.00 scholarship to attend a National Oncology Specialty Conference of the applicant's choice-i.e., Breast, Radiation Oncology, BMT, Hematology, etc.
- Scholarship recipients will present a topic(s) from the National Conference they attended, which has/will improve their practice at a monthly PSONS Educational Meeting.
- Each recipient will receive their award up to $2000 by completing the PSONS Travel Expense Reimbursement Form, providing receipts for travel, meals, and lodging expenses along with Continuing Education Certificate(s).
- Conference to be attended by December 2026.
National Oncology Specialty Scholarship applicant requirements:
1. Member of ONS and PSONS continuously for a minimum of one year at the time of application.
2. Registered nurse involved in Cancer Nursing.
3. Applicant must be able to attend the entire Symposium.
4. Complete the online application below, which includes your biographical information and a brief essay describing how this educational course will benefit your nursing practice.
5. Your complete scholarship application must be submitted electronically.
6. Applicant can receive a scholarship from each category only once.
7. Scholarships are open to the General PSONS membership as well as PSONS Board Members.
8. The scholarship committee will independently review each application and make recommendations to the PSONS Board. Considerations will be given to applicants who have not attended the specific event or have other sources of funding.
The applicant may not be eligible for the scholarship if another source of funding, like hospital/institution support, is available.
9. All applicants will be notified via the email provided in the application by June 19th, 2026.
10. If awarded a scholarship, you will be asked to complete a short survey after attending the educational program/using the scholarship. Your input is significant and will help us improve the PSONS Scholarship Program.
11. Scholarship recipients will be asked to provide a photo for recognition and meet specific scholarship follow-up requirements as noted in the application.
