Angie Wilson:
I am interested in serving on the Board of Directors because I understand the realities of poverty from both personal and professional experience. Growing up and during my early adult years, I faced many of the same challenges that the individuals and families served by Community Action experience today. Those experiences have given me compassion, resilience, and a deep commitment to helping others build a better future.

As Director of the Welcome Home Center, I work alongside individuals and families facing financial hardship every day. I listen to their stories, help them navigate barriers, and advocate for opportunities that promote long-term stability and self-sufficiency. Being multilingual also allows me to connect with and represent people whose voices are often underrepresented.

I believe every person has value, potential, and the ability to succeed when given the right support. Strengthening individuals and families strengthens our entire community, and I would be honored to bring that perspective, along with my lived experience and community connections, to the Community Action Board of Directors.
