Before You Apply: Pending Approval is Required
All applicants for an Occoquan Reservoir Shoreline Stabilization project must first complete a Shoreline Easement Modification Application and receive notice of "Pending Approval" from Fairfax Water before applying for this grant.

Grant Guidelines
Before you start the application, make sure you have read and understand the Grant Guidelines which detail:
  • Types of eligible projects
  • Eligible areas
  • How funds can be used
  • The grant selection process
  • The agreement that will need to be signed by each grant recipient
  • How to invoice and receive reimbursement as a grant recipient
Required Documents
To complete this application you will need to upload:
  • Tax Form: The Property Owner's completed W-9; grant funds will be reported to the IRS and may be considered taxable income. (Please consult a tax advisor with questions; blank W-9.)
  • Agency Certification: Completed State or Local Agency Certification of Proposed Physical or In-Stream Project, which is required for shoreline stabilization projects in Fairfax Water's easement; download the fillable form here; (PDF, 1 page)
  • Planting Plan: If the project includes plantings or restoration, please upload a planting plan showing the locations of the planting and the types of plants that will be used.
Optional Documents
  • Photos: At the end of the application you may upload one file of photos equivalent to one printed page. This can be one photo, or a collage of photos. (See example in Question #26.)
  • Other Information: At the end of the application you may upload one file of additional information equivalent to two printed pages.
Compose Answers before Starting this Application
