TIABC Member Survey | Wildfire Impacts on British Columbia's Tourism Sector
INTRODUCTION
TIABC understands that the wildfires currently being experienced in regions across the province are affecting tourism operators, businesses, employees, visitors, and communities. We recognize that these situations can create uncertainty, disruption and considerable pressure, whether a business is directly threatened by wildfire or experiencing indirect effects related to access visitor perceptions, changing demands or emergency-response needs.
Our thoughts are with our members and communities during this difficult time. TIABC wants to ensure that those being affected feel heard, supported, and represented. This survey is one of the ways we can better understand what members are experiencing and identify where support and communication are most needed.
This may be one of several surveys TIABC distributes over the next few weeks as wildfire conditions continue to change and new impacts emerge. Your responses will help TIABC identify immediate concerns, monitor ongoing impacts, and better understand how tourism businesses and organizations are contributing to emergency response and community support efforts.
CONFIDENTIALITY
All survey responses will be treated as confidential. Information shared through this survey will be used to help TIABC communicate on behalf of our members with government, tourism-sector partners, emergency management organizations, and other decision-makers.
