The WGBC Industry Recognition Awards categories align with the values of the industry as we collaborate, innovate and work together for the future of the BC wine industry. We will be awarding three deserving recipients in the categories of:

Leadership Excellence Award (Winery or Non-Winery)
This award recognizes a winery or non-winery (media, government, tourism etc.) individual who has gone above and beyond to take a leadership role and build great relationships with the industry. This person positively contributes to the greater wine community in British Columbia, making it a better place to work and live.

The nominee must:
• Demonstrate outstanding leadership and collaboration with industry peers
• Positively contribute to the community, working towards the greater good of the industry
• Be a dedicated champion for the advancement of the BC wine industry

Ultimate BC Wine Ambassador Award (Winery)
This award recognizes a frontline winery individual who is passionate about sharing their love of the BC wine industry with their guests. This person is a BC wine superstar coming to work every day with a smile on their face, taking pride in what they do and working hard to positively impact not only their guests, but their team as well.

The nominee must:
• Work for a BC-based winery and tell the story of Wines of BC on a day-to-day basis
• Exhibit unmatched passion for what they do and create exceptional experiences for their guests
• Be a dedicated ambassador of the BC wine industry and contribute positively to their team

Considerations: As part of this recognition, the recipient may also be invited to serve as the event influencer or representative at WGBC events such as tastings with trade and media and/or in the retail setting.

Master Marketer Award (Wine, tourism, hospitality organization or professional)
This award recognizes an innovative winery, regional wine association, retailer, restaurant or tourism organization or professional that thought outside the box to promote the Wines of BC; whether it’s an innovative marketing campaign, launching an in-demand new product or creating a unique wine-focused event. The project inspiring the nomination must come have been active within 12 months of the nomination being submitted.

The nominee must:
• Demonstrate innovation in showcasing the Wines of British Columbia
• Displayed creativity and forward-thinking with their initiative
• Be a champion of the BC wine industry

Nominations will be open from Tuesday, November 4, 2025 until 11:45 PM to Monday, December 15, 2025 at 11:59 PM. The BC Wine Industry Recognition Awards will be announced and co-presented with the winners of the Canadian Wine Industry Awards at a ceremony following the Insight Conference on March 31, 2026 in Penticton BC.
