The Town of Lincoln is currently updating its Master Plan. The new plan will help guide land use regulations, development patterns, and community investments over the next ten years.
Lincoln’s planning context is extremely unique. Only 5% of the town’s total land area—approximately 4,128 acres—is under the Town’s jurisdiction for local planning and land use decisions. The remaining land is largely within the White Mountain National Forest and state park lands.
As a result, planning for Lincoln’s future differs from many New Hampshire communities. Within this limited land area, the Town must accommodate homes, businesses and employment opportunities, infrastructure and community facilities, recreation, and the protection of natural and cultural resources.
To inform this work the Planning Board really needs to hear from year-round and seasonal residents, property owners, business owners, area employees, and visitors.
This survey will remain open through July 1, 2026. Your feedback will be used to shape the vision and land use plan in this new master plan, and will help to prioritize Lincoln’s implementation efforts over the coming decade!
