NRG Oncology (NRG) solicits applications for committee membership on a yearly basis.
  • Applicants may apply to a maximum of one choice in each of the three committee types (Disease Specific, Non-Disease Specific, Scientific Core).
  • Note, applicants to the Core Committee will also be considered for membership in the General Committee. General Committees members are considered for appointments to working groups within their disease site.
  • If you are already listed as a committee member on the NRG website (link), there is no need to apply again for the same committee unless your term is expiring (term started in Fall of 2022 or before).

-Gynecologic Cervix/Vulvar Cancer Subcommittee Core and General

-Gynecologic Rare Tumor Subcommittee Core and General
-Gynecologic Uterine Corpus Subcommittee Core and General
-Head & Neck Cancer Committee Core and General
-Lung Cancer Committee Core and General

Non-Disease Site Specific Committees:
-Cancer Prevention and Control Committee
-Developmental Therapeutics Committee Core and General
-Developmental Therapeutics RT Subcommittee
-Patient Centered Outcomes Research Committee
-Sarcoma Subcommittee
-Translational Science Committee

Scientific Core Committees:
-Health Care Access
-Imaging Committee
-Immunotherapy Subcommittee
-Medical Oncology Committee
-Medical Physics Subcommittee
-Pathology Committee
-Pharmacy Subcommittee
-Radiation Oncology Committee
-Surgical Oncology Committee
-Theranostics Subcommittee

If you wish to apply for membership on one of these committees, or you have been rotated off and wish to regain membership, the following must be completed and submitted electronically via this application for consideration:
  • The NRG Oncology Committee Membership Application
  • NIH Biosketch (https://grants.nih.gov/grants/forms/biosketch.htm) - not to exceed 4 pages.
  • One Page Brief Cover Letter. A brief one-page cover letter on institutional letterhead, signed and dated, briefly outlining the applicant’s interest in joining the committee, anticipated contributions, and relevant past accomplishments. The letter must clearly address each committee being applied to.
Please note incomplete applications will not be considered for membership.
Submission Deadline: October 6, 2025 Midnight ET.

Committee Members are required to:
  • Have an active status on the roster at an active NRG member site. Applicants from non-NRG member sites shall not be considered for a committee position. Committee membership is predicated that the applicant will remain at an active NRG member.
  • Have completed the NRG Member Information form by responding to the optional questions or formally opting not to participate. The NRG demographic form can be accessed via the link https://apps.nrgoncology.org/MemberInfo/. The form is a one-time requirement and does not need to be completed again.   • Encourage participation in and promote accrual to NRG studies.
  • Actively participate in committee meetings and on conference calls.
  • Hold meeting materials in confidence.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the committee chair in support of the committee.
Failure to comply with above requirements may result in being rotated off of the committee.
