Rules and Entry Form

Thank you for your interest in the Douglas County Elections Student Art Contest.
Parents/Guardians & Students: Please review this information prior to submitting art work.
Rules
  • All art must be suitable for display in Douglas County offices.
  • All mediums are acceptable, including but not limited to:
    • Photography
    • Painting
    • Drawing
    • Sculpture
    • Graphic Design
    • Mixed Media
  • All submissions must be original works of the submitting artist. Plagiarism, AI-generated art, or copies of another’s work are not acceptable.
  • The submission must include a photo of the artwork AND a photo of the student with their artwork.
  • Submissions are due no later than Friday, September 13, 2024.
Judging
  • All artwork will be published for public vote no later than Friday, September 20, 2024. At that time, participants and their parents/guardians will receive a link to vote via email.
  • Voting will close on Friday, October 4, 2024.
  • Judges will review all submissions and determine winners in each grade category no later than Friday, October 18, 2024. The public vote will assist in judging but will not determine the winner.
  • The following distinctions will be given:
    • 1st place
    • 2nd place
    • 3rd place
    • Honorable Mention
  • Winners will be contacted directly to arrange for delivery of their artwork to Douglas County Elections.
