Scholarship Description:
The Capital One Military Dependent Scholarship is designed to aid and honor talented Virginia high school seniors who are the dependents of full-time Military Servicemembers (Army, Navy, Marines, Air Force, and Coast Guard), current members of the Military Reserves, Military Retirees (time served or medically retired), and Gold Star Families.
Three awards for college tuition will be made: One for $5,000, one for $3000, and one for $2000  will be awarded to 3 scholars. Applicants are evaluated and recipients chosen based upon the criteria of academic excellence, community service, and leadership. We are seeking those students who exemplify the highest in talent, hard work, and integrity that Virginia has to offer to be our 2023 Capital One Virginia Military Dependent Scholars.

Qualifications:
-Current high school seniors 
-U.S. Citizen or legal resident
-Resident of, or attending high school in the Commonwealth of Virginia
- Have at least one parent or legal guardian who is a full-time Military Servicemember (Army/Navy/Marines/Air Force/Coast Guard), current member of the Military Reserves, Military Retiree (time served or medically retired), or a child of a Gold Star Family.
*Capital One employees and family are not eligible

*You may be asked to submit a copy of your high school transcript during the review process.
 
*Applicants survey responses are owned and managed by the application creator, and is private to the survey creator, unless the survey creator has chosen to make the questions and responses available via a publicly available link. It is the policy of the Capital One Virginia Military Dependent Scholarship not to share personally identifying non-public information but that this data is housed on a third party platform.  Applicants should be aware that any information they provide in these areas may be read, collected, and used by application owner(s).
