2022 Techie Camp Registration (DCPL)

With support from the Nordson Corporation Foundation, TECH CORPS will implement its Techie Camp program in partnership with the DeKalb County Public Library for elementary school students during the summer.

Techie Camp is a full day, week-long program designed to engage elementary and middle school students in hands-on, interactive STEM-related activities. Students take a deep dive into subject matter focused on Robotics, Programming, Android App Development, 3D Printing, Digital Fabrication or Web Development and emerge with skills that are useful in today’s classroom and tomorrow's workplace. Each Techie Camp concludes with students presenting their final project to their parents and peers on Friday afternoon. Below are additional notes about the Techie Camps:
  • The topic for all of the Techie Camps will be Programming with Scratch. 
  • Each Techie Camp is comprised of 20 students and led by 2 Instructors. 
  • Families will be responsible for transportation and food/beverages.
  • Each Techie Camp will run from 9:00AM-4:00PM on the following dates and locations:
    • June 13-17 at Scott Candler Library
    • July 11-15 at Redan-Trotti Library
    • July 18-22 at County Line-Ellenwood Library
    • July 25-29 at Stone Mountain Library
  • Live or attend school in DeKalb County 
  • Currently in the 2nd-5th grade 
Student Selection Process:
Students will be enrolled in Techie Camps on a "first-come, first-serve" basis until all spots are filled. Families will be notified via email. 

Once you begin this form, you are NOT able to save/return to it. Please be prepared to spend approximately 10 minutes to complete the registration form in one setting. Otherwise, you will have to start a new registration form. Below is a list of the sections of the form for quick reference:
