For purposes of this survey, IoT is defined as physical objects (things) that are embedded with sensors, actuators and software and communicate over a network. Edge Computing is defined as the operational technology (e.g compute, storage, and other infrastructure) that is physically deployed as close to the source of the data as possible in support of enabling IoT solutions.
