GUM was started in 2014 as a USA Ultimate community-wide outreach program designed with the help of local volunteers to increase girls' (18 and under) participation in the sport of ultimate. The current strategic plan began in 2015 and ends in 2019. You can read more about the current plan here,

GUM is looking to create a new three-year strategic plan. We need your help to better understand GUM's organizational performance, the needs of the community and to inform GUM's strategic planning process.

This survey should take about 15-20 minutes to complete, and all responses are anonymous. Share this survey with your friends across the country, especially those communities that are really struggling with girls' participation. At the GUM Strategic Planning Meeting March 30-31 in Denver, CO, we'll be discussing the results of this survey to help us shape the future of GUM. We'll announce the new plan at the 2019 US Open on Saturday, August 3 at the GUM Ball. The GUM Strategic Planning Committee core includes, Tricia Guilfoyle, Tess Johnson, Hannah Matthys, Erin McCann, Anraya Palmer, Sarah Powers, Gail Reich and Jamie Wolf. Thanks to these awesome volunteers!

If you have any additional feedback, please feel free to email USA Ultimate Youth & Education Programs Coordinator Sarah Powers,

Thanks for your help as we look to make this sport more diverse and competitive! Your input is extremely valuable.
