Welcome! Thank you for your interest in speaking at the American Gem Society’s 84th annual Conclave!

Conclave is known for exceptional learning in a relaxed, friendly and open environment. Our event is designed so that attendees not only learn something new but leave with action items they can implement in their businesses. Please help us break out of the mold and provide new ways of learning that allow attendees to connect with one another, gain new insights, and leverage their key findings.

The American Gem Society (AGS) is seeking education that really starts conversations; we are encouraging and selecting sessions that enable our retailers to return to their stores with the tools to facilitate their continued success. Hands-on learning, panel discussions, round tables, and any non-standard deviations from “lecture and PowerPoint” teaching ideas and learning experiences are encouraged.

We are also dividing our content into “beginner” and “advanced” streams to better enable our attendees to tailor to their learning levels. With that in mind, be sure to adjust your content for the right level of audience and designate it in the RFP.

At the AGS Conclave, it’s the mix that matters. The collective diversity among our speakers is one of the great strengths of our Conclave program and has helped make it the most trusted source of information on gemology and business in our industry. We make a conscious effort to preserve this diversity which enriches the learning experience of our attendees.

Because Conclave is strictly an educational and networking event, it’s essential that in the spirit of learning, that PRESENTATIONS CANNOT BE SALES PITCHES. If you are a supplier or provider of supportive services, please adjust your content appropriately. Booths and sponsorship opportunities are available separately. Please contact Lauren Ruggeroli, Membership Manager at lruggeroli@ags.org to learn more.

If you have any questions about your RFP submission, please contact the Director of Gemology and Education, Alethea Inns, at ainns@ags.org.
