Thank you for visiting the Swindon Skills Mapping and Brokerage Service Business Skills Survey for 2015.

Managed by Business West on behalf of Swindon & Wiltshire Local Enterprise Partnership and Swindon Borough Council, this survey seeks to understand the skills gaps and future skills needs of businesses within the Swindon area. Your participation is vital in informing LEP strategy, shaping the local skills infrastructure and ensuring that your business can access the right talent. This survey features a number of key questions important to local economic growth and should take you no more than 15 minutes to complete.

For the purposes of this survey, responses are sought from businesses - regardless of size or sector - based within the local authority of Swindon Borough Council only. Responses are particularly welcome from those in the following sectors: financial and professional services; digital and high-tech; high value manufacturing; and construction.  Whilst any employee is invited to complete the survey on behalf of a business, business owners, chief executives, HR managers and other senior management staff may be best placed to answer some of the questions.

Supporting the LEP's vision to develop an appropriately skilled and competitive workforce to achieve its growth ambitions, the results of this survey will:
     - provide a sector-by-sector analysis of key challenges and priorities for local employers;
     - inform activities and strategic direction of schools, colleges, universities and other training providers;
     - highlight weaknesses in the existing skills system;
     - provide the evidence base on which to develop further solutions to meet business needs;
     - provide a strong business voice in developing LEP skills priorities over the next 18 months.

Data will be used and processed by the Swindon & Wiltshire LEP, Swindon Borough Council and Business West in accordance with the Data Protection Act (2010). Anonymised data will be published following analysis of survey results.

Thank you for your time and interest in supporting the work of Swindon & Wiltshire Local Enterprise Partnership and Swindon Borough Council.
