The Lab Interoperability Cooperative (LIC) is comprised of Surescripts, the American Hospital Association (AHA), and the College of American Pathologists (CAP). The LIC operates under a grant from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in coordination with the Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology (ONC) within the United States Department of Health and Human Services. The group is organized to facilitate the electronic submission of reportable lab results from hospital laboratories to Public Health Agencies.

Note: As a federally-funded grant, our obligation is to track participation in our efforts. As part of this requirement, each facility must complete a Hospital Participation Letter (linked here and below). We ask that one representative review, sign and return in order to participate in the webinar and our online services – this is your RSVP. Upon our receipt of the completed document, we will send your final event confirmation and dial in instructions. LIC services are for hospital laboratories and hospital based staff only; public health and commercial laboratories are ineligible for LIC services.

Please upload agreement here LIC Participation Agreement or FAX to (312) 278-0515.

*If you represent Public Health you are not required to complete the hospital participation letter.
