Lower Cape Fear - Regional Fair Housing

Citizens Survey

The Lower Cape Fear Sustainable Communities Consortium, branded as FOCUS is preparing a Fair Housing Analysis for the Region. The Consortium has been awarded a Sustainable Communities Regional Planning Grant funded by the U.S. Dept. of HUD to develop a Regional Plan for Sustainable Development (R.P.S.D.) for Brunswick, New Hanover, and Pender Counties, and the City of Wilmington, North Carolina. As a Federal Grantee, the Consortium must conduct a fair housing analysis which identifies any impediments to regional fair housing choice and what steps will be undertaken to affirmatively further fair housing.

As part of this Analysis, FOCUS is conducting a survey to identify the fair housing concerns of area residents. Fair Housing concerns include any act of discrimination or barrier that might limit housing choices by families and individuals. In order for FOCUS to address the housing needs of citizens, we request your assistance. Please take a few minutes and complete this confidential questionnaire to the best of your ability. If you are unsure of an answer, or the question does not apply to you, please feel free to skip that question. Thank you for your assistance in helping us to identify any Fair Housing issues in the Lower Cape Fear Region.
