1. CFPA Committees

This year we would like to get all members involved and engaged. Since you get out of an association membership what you put in, the Board would like each company to volunteer to sit on one of our committees. Please put name and email in each box for the delegate.

* 1. Communications: The Communication Committee is responsible for the media aspect of the CFPA. Our redesigned website provides for easier navigation and ensures all information is current and relevant and we continue to add content that our members are requesting. Our Twitter (@CanadianFPA) and LinkedIn feeds are up and running as we see social media as an important part of keeping in touch with the new generation of fluid power professionals.
Regular articles in Design Engineering, called CFPA Corner, are published with the content coming primarily from the various committees in the CFPA. However, additional content for our newsletter and website from our membership is always welcomed, as we consider the CFPA website a conduit for fluid power and industry news.

* 5. Education: The Education portfolio has been the cornerstone of the CFPA since its inception and continues to increase awareness of our fluid power industry. The lack of qualified personnel in our industry is a national cause for concern and our education committee continues to strive to generate interest in our profession. In 2017 we plan to introduce a National Fluid Power Challenge in addition to the annual local Challenge in Ontario. This committee continues to present the fluid power industry as a viable and exciting professional opportunity.
