Hazardous Chemical Reg Changes: What Procurement Needs to Know

On March 26, 2012, OSHA published revisions to the Hazard Communication standard. The new standard aligns with the Global Harmonization System of Classification and Labeling of Chemicals. The new standard provides a common approach to classifying chemicals and communicating hazardous information on labels and safety data sheets. The webcast will deliver information so that procurement professionals attending will:

1. Understand the components of the new standard
2. The timing required for compliance to the standard
3. New terms used for the Hazard Communication standard

Participants who successfully complete this program will receive 1 hour of continuing education. It may be applied toward ISM CPSM recertification, CPSD recertification, C.P.M. recertification, and/or A.P.P. reaccreditation program requirements.
