Call for participants Training - HIV/AIDS Treatment |
1. Training on HIV/AIDS Treatment Literacy and Advocacy, July 08-10 2011, Bucharest, Romania
Since 1992 the European AIDS Treatment Group (EATG) has been a European patient-led advocacy NGO that represents and defends the treatment related interests of people living with HIV and AIDS in Europe. Our mission is to achieve the fastest possible access to state of the art medical products, devices and diagnostic tests that prevent or treat HIV infection or improve the quality of life of people living with HIV.
Our activities focus on Treatment Literacy and Treatment Advocacy, which underpin and are crucial to community and civil society involvement in influencing HIV and AIDS treatment and policy-making.
In collaboration with Sens Pozitiv, the EATG developed these trainings specifically for participants from South Eastern Europe, taking into consideration region-specific issues, including fewer resources, greater stigma and weaker understanding and support from their national governments.
