In May 2012, Dean Huw Thomas appointed a Strategic Planning Steering Committee to embark on a new strategic planning process at the Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. Building on the School’s distinctive character and historic strengths, he charged the Committee with creating a bold and dynamic strategic plan, 2020 Vision!, to advance the School to new levels of success. The Strategic Planning Steering Committee, chaired by Dr. Roya Zandparsa, is committed to a communicative, consensus-building process.

Based on a review of extensive extant data, the Committee has developed the first draft of the mission, vision, and values statements as well as an initial list of strategic priorities. The purpose of this survey is to seek broad input about these draft statements. This survey is one of the early steps to solicit feedback. Future activities will include focus groups, open forums, one-on-one conversations and online feedback to documents on the Tusk website. The Strategic Planning Steering Committee intends to submit a final version of the strategic plan, including the mission, vision, values, strategic priorities, and goals to Dean Thomas by February 2013.

The following items will likely require between 10 to 15 minutes of your time. Individual responses are anonymous, but aggregate data will be reported to the Strategic Planning Steering Committee verbatim. Once you have completed the survey, the site will not allow you to re-enter.
