STOP NEW YORK STATE UNFUNDED MANDATES |
New Yorkers pay the highest property taxes in the country because Albany keeps spending more and more then passes the cost on to our towns and counties with unfunded mandates. It needs to stop!
Dutchess County’s budget, for example, is 70% mandated programs and services created and regulated by the state and federal governments with little or no money to pay for them. That is 70% of your tax dollar! A vast majority of these unfunded mandates are dictated by Albany.
