Pedestrian and Bicyclist Safety in Parking Facilities Survey

The Institute of Transportation Engineers (ITE) Committee “Pedestrian and Bicyclist Safety in Parking Facilities” is seeking information about parking facility design, maintenance and operation, and how these features relate to pedestrian and bicyclist safety. The purpose of the committee is provide information on the problem of pedestrian and bicyclist crashes and injuries in parking facilities, and to offer recommendations for enhancing the safety of pedestrians and bicyclists. The study is evaluating safety in both surface parking lots and garages, and is primarily focused on parking facilities for commercial and multi-family uses.
