Introduction

The CIPP has been delivering the MSc to payroll and pensions professionals since 1997 and the learning programme is now in its third iteration, the latest cohort beginning their learning in January 2014 on the ‘MSc in Business and Reward Management’.

It is widely recognised within higher education in the work place that the transfer of learning is more effective when the learning is relevant to the individual, the organisation they work for, and the personal and collective objectives they are trying to achieve.

As a result, the CIPP is conducting a project to understand the link between MSc funding employers’ needs, any relevant links to their employees’ personal and organisational objectives, as well as gain an understanding of their perception of the transfer of learning into the work place environment.

The results from this project will serve to inform the CIPP’s future strategy for continuous improvement of the MSc programme of learning and therefore improve both the learner and funding employer experience.

The information provided from this questionnaire will be kept anonymous (unless stated otherwise), analysed, and the project completed by Ros Hendren MSc, FCIPPdip, CMgr, FCMI Dip, who currently tutors the MSc in Business and Reward Management and who is also a CIPP Board Trustee. The CIPP as sponsors of this project will also have access to the information held within the project. The information will be used for no other purpose than stated here.

Any anonymous data gathered as part of this project will be kept indefinitely to support the analysis and discussion, however any personal data such as contact details etc. will be destroyed once the project is complete.

All data gathered and analysed as part of this project will be stored and used in accordance with the data protection act.

As you complete the questionnaire, should you wish to decline to answer any specific questions, please move to the next question.

Once you have completed your response to the questionnaire, you will have the opportunity to withdraw from the study at any time before the deadline of 27 March 2015 by emailing your request to Vickie.moss@cipp.org.uk. It is necessary to impose a deadline to protect the ability to complete the project.

Thank you for your co-operation and assistance.
