Job Satisfaction and Organizational Commitment

You are being asked to participate in a study regarding your attitudes about your job. Researchers at The University of Connecticut and Western New England University are conducting this study. If you decide to participate, the survey will take approximately 10 minutes of your time to complete. You will be asked to complete a demographic information worksheet, read a short story about a work-related topic, and then fill out several questionnaires about your job.

Your personal risk involved with participating in this study is minimal and your identity will be kept strictly confidential; however, in the unlikely event that any negative feelings arise during or after the study, please do not hesitate to contact the principal investigator Dr. Amy Gorin or your Employee Assistance Program using the contact information provided below.

Your participation in this study is completely voluntary and you may choose to decline participation at any time before, during, or after the study without penalty. All data gathered from your participation will be held in the strictest of confidence and will not be connected in any way to your employment record. Your email address (for raffle notification) will be stored separately from your completed survey. Any data you provide will be shared between researchers at The University of Connecticut and Western New England University, but will not be viewed in an identifiable format. For your participation in the study, you will be entered into a raffle drawing for one of four (4) $25 Visa check cards. Once the researchers have collected sufficient data a raffle will be held and winning participants will be notified via email.

If you would like additional information on this study please feel free to contact Dr. Amy Gorin at 860-486-5670 or amy.gorin@uconn.edu.
