The PA Department of Public Welfare wants to provide primary care practices with tools to help lower the incidence of suicide in Pennsylvania. Tools include training in behavioral health risk assessment, use of a web-based psychosocial screening tool, and assistances in collaborating better with mental health services. In one year, a program pilot in Luzerne, Schuylkill, and Lackawanna counties identified 80 children at risk for suicide who might have otherwise gone unnoticed. In 2011, we hope to expand access to this program. If you may be interested in participating please click “NEXT” and complete a very brief survey.
