Is your knowledge of publication ethics sufficient to get your paper accepted in your choice of journal? Many biomedical journals are increasingly encouraging authors to follow international publication guidelines, such as the Good Publication Practice 2 (GPP2) and the revised 2013 International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE) recommendations, before submitting a manuscript. Awareness of these guidelines is thus crucial for biomedical researchers to conduct and report their work ethically and to increase their chances of acceptance into the journal of their choice.

As a part of a research project intended to be published, Editage, Cactus Communications, a company that offers language editing, medical communications, and publication support services for authors, is conducting a survey to understand how well authors are aware of and understand these guidelines. This survey to open to authors and publication professionals involved in the medical sciences, from academia and the pharmaceutical industry. The information collected from this survey will be used in an aggregated and anonymized manner; thus, the manuscript will not contain any identifying information about the survey participants or their institution/company.

This survey should not take you more than 10 minutes to complete. Thank you for your time.
