Teachers around the country are experimenting with a different approach to the traditional classroom instruction. Flipping (also known as inverted classroom and reverse instruction) is a type of blended learning, which combines online and traditional face-to-face methods. The ideas behind flipping are not new. For more than a decade, dozens of colleges, led by the National Center for Academic Transformation (NCAT), have experimented with similar ideas across math, science, English, and many other disciplines.
