2. Purpose and Background
We are evaluating self- and peer-assessment versions of a graduate attributes questionnaire for psychology. This evaluation is supported by an Australian Learning and Teaching Council Grant. We would appreciate it if you would consider taking part in this research to identify key themes that represent psychology graduate attributes. These themes may include problem-solving and analytic skills, team work and communication skills.

A total of 200 people will participate in this project.
You are invited to participate in this research project because we are interested in hearing from a large number of undergraduate students undertaking a psychology unit at an Australian university.

3. Funding
This project is funded by an Australian Learning and Teaching Council Grant.

4. Procedures
Participation in this project will involve filling in a questionnaire. This questionnaire includes background questions (for example course code and age); and questions about performance in group settings (e.g., “To what extent do you encourage other students to work as a team when part of a team?”). You will also be asked to answer some questions about another student’s performance in a group setting (e.g., “To what extent does this person encourage other students to work as part of team when part of a team?”). This survey will take approximately 10 minutes to complete.

5. Possible Benefits
The project will provide a reliable and valid measure of psychology graduate attributes. As no self- or peer-assessment measure of graduate attributes currently exists the development of such measures is needed to provide meaningful formative and summative feedback to both teachers and learners regarding students’ consolidation of graduate attributes.
