Santa Fe Metropolitan Transportation Plan Update |

The Santa Fe Metropolitan Transportation Plan (MTP) 2010-2035 serves as an important framework in addressing the transportation needs of the Santa Fe MPO over 25 years. The purpose of this survey is to gauge how well the past plan has met your expectation and also to give you an opportunity to log your interest in contributing and being kept informed as the MTP update is being developed.
The MTP enables the use of federal funding for a range of transportation network improvements (including roads, bridges, bikeways, and pedestrian facilities), as well as for transit/rail facilities, operations, and program support. Several examples of projects past plans have helped to deliver include:
• I-25/St Francis Dr Interchange Bridge Reconstruction
• Santa Fe River Trail Improvements
• NM599/CR62 Interchange
• Santa Fe Trails Bus Replacement and Improved Facilities
• Cerrillos Rd Reconstruction Phase IIB from Cielo Court to Camino Carlos Rey
• Santa Fe Rail Trail Improvements
• NM475/Washington Ave Intersection Reconstruction
The MPO also completed a Bicycle Master Plan in 2012 and the recommendations from that Plan are beginning to be implemented. The MPO is currently working on a Pedestrian Master Plan and Public Transit Master Plan which will be completed within the next 12 months.
